DJ Courses for Kids and Teens (Ages 10 to 17)
Our courses for young people aged 10 to 17, at Starter, Selector or Headliner level, with an Enhanced DBS-checked mentor.
This course is for you if…
- Your child loves music and keeps asking about DJing
- They want something creative that builds confidence
- You want a safe, structured course with a clear goal at the end
On the Juniors course
- The same skills as our adult courses, pitched for their age
- Beatmatching, phrasing and clean mixes
- Choosing their own music and building a set
- Confidence, focus and performing in front of people
- A live graduation set, with family and friends in the crowd
By week eight they'll play their own set live, and most come away noticeably more confident.
8 × 90-minute one-to-one sessions, at home or online, and a live graduation set
What a typical Juniors course looks like
One 90-minute one-to-one session a week. This is the usual shape; your mentor adapts it to how you learn and the music you love.
Safe, structured and properly taught
- All mentors have Enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training
- We follow DJ Archie School's child protection policy
- Lessons are one-to-one, so the pace and approach fit your child
- We support additional needs, including autism, ADHD, visual impairment and anxiety
- Juniors can take the course at Starter, Selector or Headliner level
Why young people love it
DJ Archie started mixing at two and played Glastonbury at eight. Our Juniors courses give young people a real skill, something to work towards and the confidence that comes from performing. Parents often tell us that's the biggest change they notice.
Taught by people who actually play out
Every course is taught one-to-one by a working DJ from DJ Archie School's network of 54 mentors across the UK. You're matched with someone near you, or online.
